CPUs - large selection from INTEL and AMD

Central Processing Unit, short CPU or also called processor, is the most important component in a server. We offer a wide selection of the leading suppliers: AMD and INTEL CPUs, as well as matching CPU fans. In our store you will find all relevant manufacturers. In addition, at the bottom of the page you will find questions that you should ask yourself when making your purchase, put together for you.

CPUs - this is what you should ask yourself

What field of application are you in?

he CPU fetches the instructions from the memory bit by bit and processes this information. In order for this to work optimally in the server, the application field is crucial for selecting the right CPU. Depending on the field of application, you need either rather 1) several cores and a low clock rate or 2) fewer cores and a high clock rate. The right combination in conjunction with the software to be processed ultimately determines the speed of the computing power.
Companies that process large amounts of data - for example, design offices with 3D calculations or research facilities - therefore often need a CPU with many cores. This can execute different work processes in parallel. If there is a delay in accessing the memory, for example, the entire processor is not queued up, but only the part allocated for this work step. The other units continue to work in parallel.

AMD or Intel?

We keep a large number of the two leading CPU manufacturers in stock for you. Whether AMD or Intel, however, is not a question of faith, but depends, among other things, on the type of server usage. You'll find a wide range of processors with 8 to 64 cores in the AMD EPYC 7002 series. The competitor Intel does not have quite as many cores in its Xeon Scalable series, but currently offers clock rates of up to 4.0 GHz. Both offer clock rates for the desktop, mobile and server sector.

If you have any questions, our support team will be happy to help you - also when it comes to suitable additional components like RAM, HDD or controller.

Does the CPU fit your motherboard?

Not every CPU socket fits to every mainboard. Therefore check if they fit together. Just contact us should you have any questions about this.
