The Exascend Product Families at a Glance

Exascend structures its portfolio by application profile, not by capacity. The series designation already carries the essentials: P stands for PCIe/NVMe, S for SATA, and the second letter indicates the application field.

Exascend offers tailored storage solutions for industrial, automotive, enterprise, data center and particularly demanding environments. The series differ in terms of interface, form factor, temperature range, capacity and endurance. Memorysolution helps you select the right configuration and part number.

Frequently Asked Questions About Exascend Wide-Temp SSDs

Answers on our offering from industrial SSD, wide-temperature SSD and pSLC SSD to power loss protection and fixed BOM, through to radiation tolerant SSD and embedded storage.

This depends on temperature range, write load, power-down behaviour, form factor and planned product lifetime. PI4 and SI4 cover the industrial temperature range, PE4 and SE4 the enterprise range. We identify the suitable series based on your requirements.

The enterprise series operate from 0 to +70 °C, the industrial and automotive series from −40 to +85 °C. Automotive BGA solutions are specified up to +105 °C (T-case). These wide-temperature SSDs cover industrial temperature ranges.

pSLC refers to NAND operated in single-level mode. This reduces capacity but considerably increases endurance and write stability. Exascend offers these variants as the Max edition.

SuperCruise maintains write speed under sustained load instead of dropping once the cache region is exhausted. Relevant for data loggers, video recording and measurement technology.

Yes. The enterprise, industrial and automotive series feature dual power loss protection at hardware and firmware level. The exact scope varies by form factor.

Adaptive Thermal Control adjusts performance based on temperature instead of throttling abruptly at the thermal limit. This keeps throughput predictable at the upper end of the range.

Yes. The PR4 series is radiation-hardened by design and specified with ESCC-tested figures for total ionizing dose and single event effects. In managed NAND, the AR500 series fills this role.

M.2 2230, 2242 and 2280, mSATA, 2.5″, U.2 and E1.S, plus soldered BGA SSDs and e.MMC for designs without a socket.
