Hyper is Supermicro's rackmount platform for maximum performance and flexibility in the data center – in compact 1U and 2U form factors. The Gold Series variants come pre-configured and pre-tested.
Compact and dense
1U and 2U form factors maximize compute density per rack unit. The current configuration AS-2115HS-TNR-02-G2 is a 2U single-processor system.
Flexible expansion
Flexible I/O and storage options let you add components as your workload evolves. According to the datasheet, the platform of the current configuration offers 24 DIMM slots for up to 6 TB of memory; GPU expansion is available on request.
Remote management
A dedicated BMC LAN port (1 GbE) and Supermicro's management software suite (including SSM, SUM and SuperDoctor 5) support operation, monitoring and updates.
Who Is Hyper Not Suited For?
The Hyper configuration shown above is a single-processor 2U system for in-memory databases and analytics. For other use cases, these Gold Series families are often a better fit.
