Simply Double is the storage family in the Gold Series – currently we have one 2U system in a standard rackmount form factor in our shop. The Gold configuration is preconfigured and pre-tested: unpack it, mount it in the rack, connect power and network.
High storage density in 2U
24 hot-swap bays for 3.5″ SAS/SATA drives in a 2U chassis with front/top loading. In the Gold configuration, 24× 22TB HDDs add up to 528TB of raw capacity.
Fast connectivity
The Gold configuration comes with a dual-100GbE card (QSFP28). It also includes a Broadcom® 3808 HBA and a 32-core AMD EPYC™ 9334 on a PCIe 5.0 platform.
Redundant and manageable
Two redundant 1600W power supplies (Titanium Level, 96%) and a dedicated 1GbE BMC LAN port for remote management. Plus Supermicro management tools such as SuperCloud Composer, Server Manager (SSM) and Update Manager (SUM).
Who is the Server Not Suited for?
Simply Double is a storage server built for capacity and fast connectivity. If you mainly need compute density per rack unit or many independent nodes, other Gold Series lines are a better fit.
