The Workstation family in the Supermicro Gold Series is designed for remote office and branch office infrastructure, i.e. for branch locations and remote sites. The configuration AS-1015A-MT-01-G2 is a 1U single-socket system that can serve as a mainstream server or rack workstation.
Pre-Configured and Tested
Gold Series systems arrive with CPU, memory, storage, networking and power supply installed and pre-tested. Unpack, rack, and connect power and networking.
Compact and Expandable
The 1U enclosure measures 437 x 43 x 429 mm. Four DIMM slots (up to 192 GB), two M.2 NVMe slots and a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot for add-in cards or a GPU leave room to grow.
Remotely Manageable
A dedicated IPMI port allows remote management – practical for sites without on-site IT staff. The datasheet lists tools such as Supermicro Server Manager (SSM) and Update Manager (SUM).
Who Is this Family Not Suited For?
The Gold Series Workstation is a single-socket 1U system with 1 GbE networking and room for at most one single-width GPU. If your workload needs more network bandwidth, more GPUs or more compact hardware, another family might be a better fit.
