Customer
Our customer is a specialist for managed hosting and various cloud products. The company offers individual servers or even entire clusters of servers and thus gives its customers' data a home: in two locations in Germany and one in the Netherlands. In this way, they help their international customers to expand digital processes and store their data securely.

Project Description
Our goals in the project were to make our customer's various cloud, managed hosting and colocation services even more efficiently possible through our systems. Specifically, this meant:
- High computing power in a small space,
- Lowest possible power consumption,
- Low acquisition costs and thereby
- High flexibility.
The particular challenge in this project was flexibility. Our systems were to be based on different customer profiles, with different performance classes as a result.
Project Realization
Since the start of the project in 2020, many hundreds of server systems in various performance classes have been individually manufactured and delivered turnkey-ready by October 2022. They are equipped with highly efficient AMD EPYC 7001/7002/7003 processors and feature data transfer rates of up to 100 gigabits per second with power- and space-saving AllFlash NVMe interfaces and data carriers of different storage volumes.
What does ... Turnkey Server Actually Mean?
"Turnkey" (or "turnkey-ready") is a term often used to describe products or services that are delivered to a customer who can use them immediately without having to do any additional work or installations. This is similar to the concept of putting the key in a new apartment or house, turning it over and being able to move in immediately. Therefore: "turnkey-ready".
A turnkey server is a server that is fully prepared and ready for immediate use. It is equipped with all the necessary hardware components and software applications and configured in advance to meet a customer's specific requirements.
The Result
The tailor-made creation of the solution for the specific need has met the individual requirements for the different customer profiles and performance classes. We are particularly proud of the fact that, in addition to a lower rack space requirement, our customer was also able to reduce its power consumption by over 60%. This greatly reduced the total cost of ownership: by about 30%.
